Our casual lunch meetings are on the last Sunday of every month at the Penderel’s Oak pub in Holborn.
These lunches are ideal if you are unfamiliar with the humanist community and want to find out more over a chat in a quieter sit-down event, as compared with our busier, noisier, weekday evening drinks socials.
You can expect to meet like-minded people, make friends, and network with activists/volunteers — there are always CLHG committee members present at these lunches.
Penderel’s Oak is a wheelchair-accessible venue.
For all our events, we kindly invite voluntary donations of £3 per head to help cover the costs of our speaker meetings, our annual Meetup fees, and the CLHG membership of various international humanist bodies. The collection is made during each meeting. You can also make an online donation (https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=ZWCNRJ25BDL96) at any time.
We advertise our events on multiple online portals, as well as through email circulars, so the RSVP numbers on any one portal will not reflect the actual greater attendance on the day.
We encourage dialogue, debate, and sharing of information in CLHG online fora, but ask people to keep their comments cordial. Any views expressed here are those of the individual posting them, and may not reflect those of CLHG.
