Tour of Victoria & Albert Museum

CLHG member David Hibberd, a tour guide at the V&A, in this one and-a-half hour tour will explore the rich collections of the museum focusing on objects that trace humanist ideas from the rise of renaissance humanism in the 14th century; through the Reformation; the scientific revolution of the 17th century to the Enlightenment and its impact in the 18th century. This repeats the themes of last year’s tour but will cover in part some different galleries.

On David’s suggestion I’ve reserved tables at the close by Kwality Indian restaurant in Thurloe Place: All welcome. It would be helpful if you could let me know if you’d like to join us there so I can confirm numbers.

As we need to limit the group to 15, we are taking reservations and to avoid no-shows we are ticketing the event at £5.

This fee will go towards our running costs, memberships and charitable donations.

We encourage dialogue, debate and sharing of information on the CLHG site but ask people to keep their comments cordial. Any views expressed are those of the individual posting them and may not reflect those of the CLHG.
